The Great Push Season 4 for World of Warcraft will expand into three distinct regions, Blizzard announced on Monday.

How it works and what to expect

Unlike previous seasons, this year’s Great Push will not be a one-off event. According to Blizzard, the Proving Grounds phase will consist of these three regions:

  • Americas & APAC
  • China
  • EMEA

After signing up for The Great Push Season 4 by Aug. 5, World of Warcraft teams will push keys from Aug. 10-15.

Next, the top six teams of each region’s Proving Grounds phase will head to the regional qualifiers. These qualifiers will occur over one weekend before the top two teams advance to The Great Push Finals.

“The final two teams in each region will face off in the global TGP Finals, where a winner for Season 4 will be decided,” the announcement explained.

The Great Push Season 4 will feature a five-versus-five, double elimination format. There will also be a combined prize pool of $210,000 USD.

Players can sign up for the tournament now, and they have until Aug. 5 at 12 a.m. EST to do so via GameBattles.

More World of Warcraft esports

The Great Push Season 4 announcement arrived shortly after Echo’s victory in the 2022 WoW MDI Global Finals; after running dungeons and racing against time between July 8-10, the team earned the bulk of the $300,000 prize pool. Echo also became the champions of the tournament five times in a row.

Echo’s official Twitter page acknowledged this in a tweet as well. The account then commemorated all the teams that they faced during the WoW MDI season. Echo noted the amazing competition and incredible finals as well.

As World of Warcraft players anticipate the kick-off for The Great Push Season 4, they can also look forward to the WoW AWC Grand Finals. This event will run from July 16-17. Following this tournament will be the WoW AWC Cross-Region Tournament happening from July 23-24.
