One of the new pieces of content coming in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 is a game game called “Resurgence Extreme.” If that sounds familiar to players, then they’ve likely played the Resurgence Extreme game mode in Warzone; that mode, released last year, took place on Rebirth Island. Resurgence Extreme has continued to come and go from the Warzone playlist options over the course of the last year, always taking place on Rebirth. However, it appears Raven Software is looking to change things up with a new iteration of the popular mode.

Resurgence Supreme will supposedly be extremely similar to Resurgence Extreme. The mode will also be on Rebirth Island, allowing fans to experience the same kind of chaotic gameplay. The goal for players hopping into the mode is to get as many kills as possible. Players will respawn in this mode, giving them plenty of chances to eliminate opponents. Players drop into the map with top-tier weapons every time, adding to the sheer chaos of the mode. When a player earns 15 eliminations during a match, that player is crowned the winner.

At this time, it’s unclear if Raven Software is planning to make any major changes to this core gameplay formula with Resurgence Supreme. However, we do know that the new game mode will be releasing sometime during Season 5 Reloaded. The mid-season update itself doesn’t have a release date, but fans can expect it to arrive around a month after Season 5 goes live on Aug. 24.

It’s possible that Resurgence Supreme will launch with Season 5 Reloaded, giving fans an immediate chance to hop into the mode when the update goes live. We’ll likely hear more gameplay-related information about Resurgence Supreme closer to the update’s eventual release; until then, fans can experience the new map changes on Caldera and other content coming in Warzone Season 5.
