The RLCS is set to return to the Copper Box Arena in London, England, for the Spring Major, Psyonix announced on Saturday.
The Copper Box Arena is one of the most iconic places in Rocket League history, having hosted what is considered the most legendary moment in RLCS history with Justin “Jstn.” Morales’ zero-second equalizer in the grand final of the Season 5 World Championships. The announcement, therefore, saw Jstn and teammate Garrett “GarrettG” Gordon discuss their unfinished business after they ended up losing the golden goal.

RLCS returns to the cacophony of London
RLCS fans were introduced to England’s crowd during Season 5 World Championships, dubbed by the community as LANDON. The event went down in history with some of the most iconic chants, moments and hype of the esport. After a brief tease in the Rocket League Season 6 trailer, fans can now start learning the many songs. Since then, many of the players and teams have made way for a new generation of talent, so there is also a need for various new chants.
NRG, meanwhile, will be looking for redemption. After losing the grand final in the event, the Americans had to wait another three seasons before they could bring home the world title in Season 8 in Madrid, Spain. After an early exit in the ongoing Winter Major in Los Angeles, where they finished third in their group and got knocked out in the first lower round by Europe’s Team Queso. NRG will be poised to change the result this time around.
The RLCS Spring Major will take place on June 29 through July 3, 2022. A little over two weeks later, the 2022 RLCS World Championships will go down at a yet-to-be-announced location in the U.S., according to sources, from July 22 through July 31. The last World Championships with a crowd was canceled in 2020 and would have taken place in Dallas, Texas. Psyonix has teased that an announcement is coming on Championship Sunday.
