Out of the eightsecondary pistols in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the X12 certainly has an argument to be the best of the bunch. It’s currently the pistol of choice for professional players, even if the Combat Knife is the most popular secondary. Compared to other pistols, the X12 has a solid fire rate, little recoil, and great damage range for a sidearm. However, there are certain attachments on the preferred loadout for the X12 that make it even stronger in Modern Warfare 2.

Of course, these attachments won’t turn the X12 into a gun of primary weapon caliber. They will simply make the pistol easier to use when players are in a pinch. Players can also use this loadout if they’re going for Gold, Platinum, or the other Mastery Camos in MW2. The attachments might not make the X12 better than a primary, but they will definitely help with the camo grind and give players the best pistol in competitive play.

Best X12 loadout in Modern Warfare 2

For the X12, the best loadout for it only equips four attachments. This is the case for many MW2 weapons, as adding too many attachments brings more harm than good. However, if players want to add another attachment, they can do so.

  • Muzzle: XRK Ventor-900
  • Barrel: XRK LUC-9
  • Trigger Action: XRK Lightning Fire
  • Rear Grip: Cronen LIMA-6

The most important attachment on this loadout is the XRK Lightning Fire, as this gives the X12 a much faster fire rate. For a pistol, this is extremely important, as players need to shoot bullets quickly to stand a chance against a primary weapon. The rest of the loadout focuses on recoil control and mobility, giving the X12 some much-improved stats.

As a final note, you can use the X12 in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
