At the beginning of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, we have more snipers than ever before in a Call of Duty game. If you include marksman rifles — which we are — there are just under a dozen snipers in multiplayer, and that’s without any post-launch weapons. With this many guns to choose from, the sniping community has been hard at work to determine the best overall option. While the debate still goes on, the MCPR-300 has a lethal loadout that just might be the best a sniper can get in Modern Warfare 2.

The MCPR-300 has been the choice for professional Call of Duty players thus far. It’s arguably the top sniper in MW2, as it has some of the best default stats and the ability to one-shot opponents above the chest at any range. Of course, the sniper doesn’t just do that without some help. The professional players and sniping community has designed a loadout for the MCPR-300 that might just outclass every other sniper in MW2.

As of right now, most of the professional CDL players who snipe use the same loadout for the MCPR. This loadout has been proven to be the best mix of attachments that the sniper currently has to offer.

  • Barrel: 2” OMX-456 Barrel
  • Stock: FSS Merc Stock
  • Rear Grip: Cronen Cheetah Rear Grip
  • Ammunition: .300 Mag High Velocity Ammo
  • Magazine: 5 Round Magazine

This loadout is designed to increase the MCPR-300’s bullet velocity, damage range, and mobility. All of these stats are vital to ensuring that the MCPR can one-shot opponents but also keep up with any fast players in close-range. It also has the 5 Round Magazine equipped to make sure players don’t have to reload during the middle of a gunfight.
