The Kastov-74u is one of the few weapons that players have access to in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta. While players haven’t been able to equip as many attachments on the 74u as other weapons, there are still some attachments that players can equip. Out of these attachments, players can come up with their first loadout for the Kastov-74u in Modern Warfare 2.
As players might have guessed from simply looking at the gun, the Kastov-74u is essentially the AK74u from previous Call of Duty titles. However, the main difference between this version and its predecessors is that the Kastov is an assault rifle, not a submachine gun. Although, even with this classification, the 74u still behaves more like an SMG than an AR; it simply has more damage range and less mobility now.
For players looking to equip the Kastov-74u with the best attachments, there aren’t many current options in the beta. Of course, this will change once Modern Warfare 2 fully releases on Oct. 28. For now, players can simply get used to the Kastov-74u in multiplayer.
Best Kastov-74u loadout in Modern Warfare 2
It should be noted that many players have felt the Kastov-74u actually feels better without any attachments equipped. Many streamers and casual players have noticed this and refrained from equipping any attachments. Players can, of course, make their own choices in regards to their loadout, but perhaps some testing could reveal some fans enjoy the gun in its base form.

- Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
As of right now, these are really the only attachments that players can equip, so they make up the best Kastov-74u loadout for now. This will 100% change when the full game is released, so don’t get too attached to this particular loadout.
