Modern Warfare weaponry doesn’t get a ton of love today in Call of Duty: Warzone. The Vanguard weapons are simply updated more and are stronger than most other guns from previous integrations. However, there are a select few weapons from both Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War that have stood the test of time. One of those weapons is the CR-56 AMAX, which still has a top assault rifle loadout in Season 4 of Warzone.

The AMAX was immediately a meta weapon when it was first released in Warzone. Since then, it has seen a series of buffs and nerfs based on the other weapons in the game. In this past Season 4 update, the AMAX received a small nerf that was also preceded by a nerf to its overall damage in Season 3. Despite all of that, though, the CR-56 AMAX can still shred enemies on both large and small maps in Warzone. It just needs the right attachments in order to do so.

To see the full loadout for the CR-56 AMAX in Warzone Season 4, keep reading below.

Best CR-56 AMAX loadout in Warzone

Any player that’s used the CR-56 AMAX previously will likely know its top loadout from memory. Since Modern Warfare is so old at this point, there are only a few attachments that have survived the test of time and stayed firmly within the meta. Those attachments are what make up the AMAX’s loadout, even two years after it was first introduced in Warzone.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 45 Round Mags

The Monolithic Suppressor, Commando Foregrip and VLK 3.0x Optic need no introduction. Fans know what they do at this point: reduce recoil, add damage range and bullet velocity and increase the scope’s zoom. The Tempus 26.4″ Archangel barrel also adds damage range, making the AMAX a true competitor to current assault rifles in Season 4. While there are statistically stronger ARs in Warzone, fans shouldn’t shy away from returning to this CR-56 AMAX loadout in Season 4.
