The #StreamersWithUkraine stream marathon is a new fundraising initiative started by Organization.gg that aims to raise money for the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Several notable Dota streamers have joined the fold in order to raise money for the cause.
Dota streamers join #StreamersWithUkraine charity marathon
Ukraine is one of the largest Dota playing populations on the planet, and since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, several teams and players have been outspoken about the issue. On the organizational side, #StreamersWithUkraine is partnered with WePlay, one of the Dota Pro Circuit’s largest tournament organizers. Most notably, they ran last year’s Kyiv AniMajor and the most recent GALAXY GAMERS: Dota 2 Invitational Series Dubai.
Over the last few months, several Dota personalities have boycotted events run through Russian organizers. Most prominently, any event that had to do with ESFORCE Holding, a holding company owned by Emin Antonyan, an oligarch in support of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The two personalities set to join the initiative are OG co-owner Johan “N0tail” Sundstein and ex-pro player Danil “Dendi” Ishutin. Dendi himself lives in Kyiv and is a Ukrainian citizen. Their stream will begin April 5, 2022 at 5 a.m. EST on Dendi’s Twitch channel.

Another Dota streamer is also set to join the initiative. Romanian Dota content creator Mihai “canceL^^” Antonio is also set to run his own charity stream. He was most well known for his runs with team Complexity in 2016 and has been a popular Dota streamer for years.
As part of the initiative, content creators and streamers from other games have also joined the fray, including the likes of arosław “pashaBiceps” Jarząbkowski, Jacob “Pimp” Winneche and Michael “THINND” McMahon.
As part of the initiative, every stream will be promoting the same donation link that is set to go to Razom and Nova Ukraine, two US-registered nonprofits helping Ukrainians. Organization.gg has made it clear that their job is to merely set up the streams and will take 0% commissions on the donations.
