According to a new report from Jacob Hale, the New York Subliners have cemented their Call of Duty League roster for the 2023 season. The Subliners are currently one of several to not officially announce the starting roster for next year. The other teams are Toronto, Las Vegas, London, Florida, and Boston. Some of those teams have unofficial rosters, though, like the Subliners. It seems like it should be a matter of days before some teams officially start announcing who their players will be for the 2023 season. This includes the New York Subliners, who are reportedly set on their roster and are just waiting for players to make things official.

The 2023 starting roster for the New York Subliners

The roster being reported is the same roster rumors were swirling around last week. The roster consists of former New York Subliner players Paco “HyDra” Rusiewiez and Matthew “KiSMET” Tinsley. Alongside them will be two new additions in Cesar “Skyz” Bueno and Preston “Priestahh” Grenier. Skyz is coming from the Florida Mutineers after a three-year stint while Priestahh arrives from the west after two years in Minnesota.

Skyz to NYSL was always the most likely outcome if the organization could retain HyDra. The two players are great friends in real life, which was the cause of some controversy earlier in the offseason. HyDra was a free agent this offseason, though, and was even rumored to be joining OpTic Texas at one point. However, New York was seemingly able to retain the French phenom, which likely made it easier to attract Skyz, who was also a free agent.

KiSMET was brought back by the Subliners after a successful 2022 season with the team. As for Priestahh, the roster needed a flex player and there were few better players in that role on the market than the former Minnesota player. Priestahh will look to rebound from a shaky 2022 season with New York.

As of right now, it seems like the team’s roles would be as follows; Skyz as the main AR, Priestahh as the Flex, HyDra as the slaying SMG, and KiSMET as the objective SMG. Of course, things can change before Modern Warfare 2 releases, so the roles aren’t set in stone. Neither is this roster, as the team hasn’t made any official announcement as of yet. However, this is the most likely outcome.
