The Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update went live Wednesday. While this means a plethora of new content and updates for fans to enjoy, it means something else entirely for data miners and leakers. Whenever a new update is released in Warzone, a flurry of new files and strings of code are added to its database. As a result, data miners can dig into the files and discover information that’s not been publicly announced. One of the juicier tidbits of information that a reputable data-miner discovered relates to a possible early access look at the Modern Warfare II Campaign.
An open beta for the Modern Warfare II multiplayer mode has already been announced. However, that’s the only bit of early access gameplay that’s been publicly announced by Activision. The open beta is reportedly slated to arrive in September, which is also when rumors say the MWII multiplayer reveal is happening.
According to Reality on Twitter, who has accurately data-mined dozens of early leaks over the past year, there’s a string of code in the Warzone files that says “Campaign Early Access Available Now.” The leaker also says that this string of code was attached to a file for Warzone Season 4 Reloaded. It’s unclear what this could mean, but it seems to hint that an early access look at the MWII Campaign could arrive sometime before Season 5.

If true, then the Campaign early access would begin sometime in August. This would allow Activision to spend the month focusing on the Campaign and then reveal the multiplayer mode in September. As for what the early access Campaign could look like, leakers have guessed that it will just feature a couple of missions. Fans would presumably download the early access Campaign application, play the missions, and then that would be it.
There’s no mention of a possible MWII multiplayer alpha, so this early access Campaign look would presumably replace that. We’ll be sure to update this article with more information as it comes to light.
