Many elements of Call of Duty change from year to year, but one aspect of every title that has remained the same and always will stay the same are the multiplayer maps.
It can be argued that the maps are the lifeblood of any COD multiplayer. They are one of the most important elements and play a large part in a player’s enjoyment levels throughout a game’s life cycle. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the multiplayer maps have been a mixed bag. The game didn’t launch with as many maps as in previous years and the recent Season 1 content drops didn’t deliver many more.
However, even with a smaller map pool than veterans might be used to it, some players will need to know each and every map in Modern Warfare 2. Today, we’re here to ensure that players can see every map in MW2 at a glance. Below, you can find all of the current maps in multiplayer, as of Season 1 Reloaded.
All multiplayer maps in Modern Warfare 2
At the time of writing, there are 17 multiplayer maps in MW2. However, we are just days away from the Season 2 update, which will likely deliver one to two additional maps. For now, though, here are all 17 maps in multiplayer, including those from 6v6 and Ground War:
- Al Bagra Fortress
- Breenergh Hotel
- Crown Raceway
- El Asilo
- Farm 18
- Mercado Las Almas
- Santa Sena Border Crossing
- Zarqwa Hydroelectric
Ground War Maps
- Santa Sena
- Sariff Bay
As MW2 players will likely know, most of the 6v6 maps in multiplayer are either reduced versions of Ground War maps or areas found on Warzone 2 and DMZ’s Al Mazrah. This makes it feel like there are less maps in the game because, technically, there are. However, we have counted each map as its own in multiplayer, giving us a grand total of 17.
Check back after Season 2 has arrived to see what new maps have come to MW2.
