There will be a Pokémon Presents, a Nintendo Direct specifically for Pokémon, livestream at 9 a.m. EST on Feb. 27. The event will run for approximately 14 minutes, according to The Pokémon Company.

Currently, the details of the livestream are uncertain, but we do know that a number of smaller announcement have been made leading up to the stream. We’ve seen updates for other games, like Pokémon UNITE and Pokémon GO, earlier this week. The Pokémon Presents livestream falls on Pokémon Day, or the anniversary of the series launch in 1996 when Pokémon Red and Green were released in Japan.

The Feb. 27 Pokémon Presents event will be broadcast on YouTube similarly to previous presentations. You can catch the action on the official Pokémon YouTube Channel.

A prominent Pokémon leaker said that we could get something big in April, 2022. That could be new content for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl or something completely different. Pokémon Legends: Arceus only launched in January, so it may be too soon to see more content for that semi-open world adventure.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl recently received a Colosseum feature, so the Pokémon Company may have already gotten news for those games out of the way. Modders also find a hidden room within Arceus; a modern day bedroom that looks similar to most of the rooms that other mainline Pokémon games begin in. This room also contains a special edition Nintendo Switch, a large television and other amenities that are common in bedrooms — none of which are found in the setting for Arceus. Could this hint to new content on the way?

While this could be a hint that we’re getting something major, it could also be the remnants of assets that never made it into the game. Hopefully we’ll find out on Sunday during the Pokémon Presents livestream.
