Ember, a skin from the original Season 6 in Fortnite, is now in Chapter 2 – Season 8 as a non-playable character. In the v18.30 update earlier this week, Epic Games gave Ember a location on the island and a set of Punchcard quests. As one would expect, her challenges mostly involve fire in some shape or fashion. This is on full display in one of her tougher challenges, which is to set structures on fire in Fortnite.
There hadn’t been many ways to create fire in Fortnite until very recently. The introduction of Chapter 2 brought some new fiery methods to the game. Players can now use those methods to complete one of Ember’s Punchcard quests and earn themselves 30,000 XP in the process. Below, Fortnite fans can see exactly how to set structures on fire for Ember in Season 8.
Set structures on fire in Fortnite
Firstly, players must start a new match of Fortnite and hop on the Battle Bus. From there, they will need to make their way to Weeping Woods, home of Fireflies in Season 8. The exact location that players should land is marked below.
Once players are at that spot, they can start looking for an orange glow in the air around the large trees. As players get closer to the orange glow, they’ll see they can collect Fireflies by holding the interact button. Doing this will add one jar of the bugs to the player’s inventory.
After players have collected 10 jars, they must find any structure they can. This can be the large building to the east of the location marked on the map above. From there, players must throw the jars at different structures in Fortnite, setting them on fire. Once this is done 10 times, players will complete this Punchcard quest for Ember and earn 30,000 XP for their Battle Pass.
