Resident Evil 4 fans coming back for the remake will notice there are some notable changes that Capcom has made compared to the original game. While many of these changes won’t alter gameplay too drastically, there are some fresh weapons that players are able to find. One of those weapons is the Bolt Thrower, which is an extremely strong weapon in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. However, it’s not strong in the traditional sense, as the Bolt Thrower’s biggest attribute is being able to take out enemies stealthily.
Sometimes, you don’t want to alert any enemies around you, so you need to use stealth. While you always have your knife and other weapons at your disposal, the Bolt Thrower can take out enemies from a distance without making a sound. If you want to learn how to find the Bolt Thrower in the Resident Evil 4 Remake, keep reading the guide below.
Getting the Bolt Thrower in Resident Evil 4 Remake
Luckily for players, the Bolt Thrower is a weapon that you can buy from the Merchant. In fact, you are able to see and buy the Bolt Thrower fairly early on in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. The weapon only sells for 10,000 pesetas, which is quite affordable compared to other weapons. You should have that amount of pesetas quickly, as long as you aren’t buying too many other items from the Merchant.
When you have the Bolt Thrower in your inventory, you can start using it to take out enemies. However, we wouldn’t recommend the Bolt Thrower for many other situations aside from ones where you want to be stealthy. The weapon has lower-end power and can’t be fired very quickly. You will also spend a few seconds reloading the weapon, which is not something you want to do with mobs coming at you.
If you’re looking to upgrade the Bolt Thrower, you’re going to want to go for extra ammunition and a faster reload time. The weapon’s power isn’t a huge deal if you’re aiming for the head while trying to take out enemies stealthily.
