If you want to do any sort of upgrading, crafting, or Aspect imprinting in Diablo 4, you will likely need a hefty inventory of Veiled Crystals. This orange crystal is one of the most valuable resources you can obtain in Sanctuary, as you seem to need it time and time again no matter what stage of the game you are at. It’s considered a Rare Crafting Material and is mainly used at the Occultist’s shop and at a Blacksmith.

However, for most of Diablo 4, you will likely not have enough Veiled Crystals at one point or another, and you will ask exactly how to get more of them. If you’re here because you pondered this very question, we have you covered.

In the guide below, I will explain all of the ways I acquired Veiled Crystals in Diablo 4.

For starters, there is really only one way to obtain a Veiled Crystal in Sanctuary, and that’s through salvaging rare or legendary weapons and armor. You can salvage weapons and armor at a Blacksmith and upon doing so, you will earn some crafting resources back. One of those resources could be a Veiled Crystal, but only if you salvaged a rare or legendary piece of gear.

This means that you will likely want to hold onto any rare gear that you come across in Diablo 4, even if you don’t plan to equip it. You can salvage it at a Blacksmith and get some resources in return, potentially boosting your stock of Veiled Crystals.

Veiled Crystals are used to upgrade weapons past level three and are required to imprint Aspects onto your gear. You usually need more than a few Veiled Crystals for any recipe, so don’t be surprised if you don’t have enough at certain points throughout Diablo 4. If you need more, you’ll have to go run a dungeon or complete more main story missions to earn rare or legendary loot drops. From there, salvage those pieces of gear and hopefully, you’ll have enough Veiled Crystals for your needs.

This is a process that you will have to repeat throughout Diablo 4, just as I did. By the endgame, though, you will likely have all of your gear fully upgraded and all of your Aspects in place, so the need for Veiled Crystals won’t be as great.
