Pokémon Go is finally getting one of generation seven’s most quirky Pokémon with its new Lunar New Year: Dragons Unleashed event, and that is Drampa.

Drampa is a Normal and Dragon-type Pokémon that made its franchise debut in Pokémon Sun and Moon but now is finally available in Niantic’s hit mobile game. Unlike some new Pokémon, you won’t find Drampa in the wild, but the good news is that there are a few ways you can add one to your collection.

There are two ways to catch Drampa in Pokémon Go. These are Field Research and Raid Battles.

During the Lunar New Year: Dragons Unleashed event in Pokémon Go you can find Field Research that when completed will net you an encounter with the new debutee Drampa, but this can be difficult.

To get this research you’ll need to spin Pokestops, but the issue is that there is other research available, so not every Pokestop will give you the Drampa one that you’re after. If you are going to take this route it’s worth talking to friends who also play Pokémon Go and asking if any of the Pokestops they’ve visited during the event have had the research.

The other way you can catch Drampa is by beating Raid Battles. Drampa is available as a raid boss for three-star raids so you’ll need to put together a powerful team and take one out for the chance to catch it.

Right now these are all of the ways you can get Drampa in Pokémon Go, and once the Lunar New Year: Dragons Unleashed event ends it isn’t clear exactly how this Pokémon can be caught. You’ve got until Feb. 11 so we suggest getting out and catching Drampa now.
