Former Dallas Fuel tank and Grand Finals MVP Lee “Fearless” Eui-Seok is now on the Houston Outlaws, joining them for the Overwatch League 2023 season. After a successful season with the Fuel, Fearless is switching to the other Texas team in the Overwatch League.

The protagonist of the Overwatch League moves to the Outlaws

Fearless has earned the moniker of “the protagonist of the Overwatch League,” with his story from his start to his current position. He began his journey on the worst team in Overwatch League history, the 0-40 Shanghai Dragons. But Fearless kept fighting, going back down to Contenders to refine his craft. When he returned to the league, joining the Shanghai Dragons again, he helped lead them to two tournament wins and a third-place finish in the 2020 season playoffs.

Then, when the Dallas Fuel looked to make a superteam out of former Element Mystic players, Fearless was on that list. He instantly made waves, helping win the Fuel the 2021 May Melee and have a great 2021 season overall. His consistency at the main tank position was key to their team play.

Even with the shift from 6v6 to 5v5 and little time playing in 2022, Fearless popped up when needed and performed. No better example of that than his season playoffs run and Grand Finals MVP win. So, joining free agency alongside a lot of talented players, he would join a new team. As it turns out, that is the Houston Outlaws, a team not too far from Dallas in both standings and physical location.

Houston building around Pelican and Fearless

After their successful but titleless 2022 season, the Outlaws are striving for a championship. Keeping a talented DPS player in Oh “Pelican” Se-hyun from 2022 and now acquiring Fearless already build two great pieces for a potentially great 2023 Houston Outlaws team. However, the biggest question mark was replacing a great hitscan they released in Choi “MER1T” Tae-min.

As the 2023 off-season continues, we’ll see if the Houston Outlaws can build a strong enough team to compete for a championship in the Overwatch League.
