Edward Gaming and its 2021 roster, the winners of the 2021 League of Legends World Championship, will receive rings to commemorate their championship on the Chinese League of Legends Pro League broadcast at 6 p.m EST on Saturday. These Worlds rings were co-designed by LoL Esports and Mercedes-Benz.

EDG’s roster is currently the same as their 2021 Worlds run, so the entire squad will take to the LPL stage before the matches begin. Each member will receive a personalized ring, each with the player’s in-game name and the Edward Gaming tricode engraved on the custom-fitted piece, according to a press release given to Upcomer.

Each 2021 Worlds ring given to EDG will be made from 18-karat white gold. It will include a custom sapphire jewel with a small diamond surrounded by an etching of the Summoner’s hands from the game.

The players will be presented these awards in-person by Leo Lin, the Vice President and Head of China Riot Games, and remotely by Naz Aletaha, the Global Head of LoL Esports.

“The customized rings symbolize the highest achievement in LoL Esports and commemorate EDG’s historic win in our most-watched finals to date,” Aletaha said via the press release.

Saturday is the second to last day of Week 6 of the LPLP and EDG will face Top Esports in the second matchup of the day. The Worlds 2021 winners currently sit at third in the LPL standings with a 7-2 record.

EDG took the 2021 Worlds title over DWG KIA ( who won the previous World Championship in 2020) 3-2 after coming into the event as China’s No. 1 seed.

EDG is one of the fan-favorite teams from China and, after they won Worlds 2021, fans showed their support and jubilation for the team’s win across China and online.

The next international tournament for League of Legends is the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational, which is set to begin this Summer.
