Once you reach the Checkpoint Town between Vernworth and Battahl in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can start completing even more side quests before progressing the story. There are plenty of intriguing characters in the town, and one of them might ask you to find the Jadeite Orb for them.

Two potential characters might ask you to procure the orb for them, both of them being merchants. One of them is imprisoned by the other, and the end of the quest requires you to choose who to give the Jadeite Orb to in Dragon’s Dogma 2. However, before you reach that point in the quest, you need to know where to locate the orb.

Finding the Jadeite Orb in DD2

The side quest for the Jadeite Orb is called “Hunt for the Jadeite Orb,” and you can pick it up by talking to the first merchant you see in the Checkpoint Town. The vendor is right by the Oxcart Station. However, another merchant deeper in the town also asks you to find the orb. If you talk to both of the merchants, you get the option to pick which one to give the orb to at the end of the quest.

For starters, though, you need to find the Jadeite Orb. While it might seem like a herculean task, it’s actually quite simple. All you need to do is find Ibrahim’s Scrap Store in the Checkpoint Town. This is a small, below-ground shop that sells forgeries and other strange items. You can also buy Wakestone Shards here as well as a Beastren Mask.

At the bottom of Ibrahim’s inventory, you can buy the Jadeite Orb for 7,5000 gold. This is the real article, not a forgery, and buying it allows you to easily complete the Hunt for the Jadeite Orb quest. However, now you’ll have to pick who to give it to if you spoke to both merchants.

I did another guide on that decision in DD2, so check that out to see both outcomes.
