A new generation of Pokémon means a new electric-type mouse Pokémon to join the party.

Following in the footsteps of the many electric mouse Pokémon before it, Pawmi is Pokémon Scarlet and Violet versions’ adorable electric rodent joining the likes of Pikachu, Raichu, Pichu, Plussle, Minun, Pachirisu, Emolga, Dedenne, and Togedamaru. And for the first time, Pawmi actually has a stage two evolution and is the first electric rodent line since Pikachu to have three evolutions.

Here is a look at all the Pawmi evolutions in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Pawmi

Pawmi is a cute chubby mouse Pokémon that is typically seen on all fours. Pawmi is an electric-type Pokémon with no other typings and its best stat is speed which is typical for electric type Pokémon. Although its quadrupedal, its Pokédex entry in Pokémon Violet states that Pawmi usually fire electricity from its front two paws but only when its standing on its hind legs.

The Pokédex entry also states that its a struggle for it to stand on its hind legs. What’s unique about Pawmi is that players will need to utilize the Lets Go feature to evolve it. Once Pawmi is level 18 and it has walked 1000 steps in the Let’s Go mode, then it will evolve.

Pawmo

The first stage evolution of Pawmi, Pawmo now fully stands up on its hind legs and while its still somewhat chubby, it looks like it can throw its weight around. This is fitting because Pawmo is an electric/fighting dual-type Pokémon. Like Pawmi, Pawmo specializes in speed but also has a pretty solid attack stat to utilize its dual-type prowess.

The Pokédex entries in both Scarlet and Violet state that Pawmo uses a unique fighting technique that allows Pawmo to throw punches that have electric shocks. Pawmo will also need to use the Let’s Go feature to evolve into its final form. And like Pawmi, Pawmo will need to walk 1000 steps before doing so.

Pawmot

And finally, there is Pawmot, the Hands-On Pokémon. Looking a little bit taller and a little bit leaner, Pawmot is also a little bit meaner, too. Still sporting the electric/fighting dual type, Pawmot has good speed and attack stats to allow it to contest any foe. In fact, when looking at the Pokédex entries, Pawmot strikes down foes with lightning-fast movements in battle. Also, something unique about Pawmot is that its fur acts like a battery storing electricity until it needs it to battle.
