Pokémon types come in many forms, but more and more we are seeing dual-type creatures. These Pokémon don’t just have the strengths and weaknesses of one time, but two, and this allows them to have better coverage in battle.
Of course, not every Pokémon is a dual-type and even within those that are, some dual-types are rarer than others. One of the rarest is the combination of Ghost and Dragon types. If you’re after a Pokémon with these attributes, here are all of your options.
All Ghost and Dragon-type Pokémon
There are only four Pokémon currently in the franchise that boasts both the Ghost and Dragon type. This might seem like a lot of options, but three are from the same evolution line and one is a legendary Pokémon, so if you’re looking for something specific for competition you may be left with no choice.
Dreepy
Joining the franchise with Pokémon Sword and Shield, Dreepy was the first non-legendary Pokémon that has both Ghost and Dragon types. This finally gave players a chance to use the type coverage in competition events that don’t allow legendary Pokémon.
Drakloak
The first step in Dreepy’s evolution line, Drakloak is another one of the Ghost and Dragon-type Pokémon in the franchise, and a natural step up from its previous evolution. Of course, you’re probably going to want the more powerful final step in this evolution chain.
Dragapult
Dragapult is the best non-legendary Ghost and Dragon-type Pokémon in the franchise right now. This incredible creature can be acquired by evolving Drakloak to level 60 and is great for coverage in battle.
Giratina
The first ever Ghost and Dragon-type Pokémon was Giratina. A favorite from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, this legendary creature is one of the strongest in the game, and most popular. Of course, the downside here is that not every tournament will allow legendary Pokémon, but if it does this is going to be your best pick.
