Warcraft fans that have been starving for the long-past days of strategy in Blizzard’s premier fantasy fiction universe got a treat at BlizzCon 2018. Warcraft III: Reforged has been announced, bringing players back to the golden age of Blizzard strategy which captured imaginations and forged the foundation that would create the MOBA genre through mods. Reforged promises to deliver everything that made players fall in love with Warcraft 3 in the first place in a remastered experience built towards the modern era.

Announced during the BlizzCon 2018 Opening Ceremony, Warcraft 3: Reforged brought us a fantastic cinematic trailer detailing the long and stories war between humans and orcs. The epic clash between footman and grunt punctuated the years of bitter battle that preceded World of Warcraft. You can see the trailer in its entirely just below.

Beyond cinematics, Warcraft 3: Reforged promises to deliver the classic strategy formula of the original game in an absolutely incredible updated format. Each unit and their animations have been recrafted to cater to a new generation of technology. Reforged is going to be far more beautiful in its offering of classic characters like Arthas Menethil, Thrall, Illidan Stormrage, Sylvanas Windrunner, and so much more. Moreover, the game will feature fresh new online play, the full campaigns, and everything else featured in the original game, rebuilt for a new age.

It’s amazing to think of a strategy Warcraft game once again, but BlizzCon delights with its offering. We at Daily Esports (and we’re certain fans the world around) can’t wait to jump back into a classic strategy experience in the war between Horde and Alliance. Warcraft 3: Reforged is slated for 2019 and more details can be found at the official website.
