Over the course of the last two months, one weapon in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has shot up the pick rate charts more than any other gun: the TAQ-V.

The older sibling of the TAQ-56, the TAQ-V is a battle rifle that many players initially passed up on due to the fact that it was a battle rifle. Assault rifles have traditionally run the meta in Warzone, and the TAQ-56 was the best AR when Season 1 launched. However, players eventually figured out that the TAQ-V is actually a better weapon, mainly thanks to its strongest loadout in Warzone 2.

As of right now, many players have been using the TAQ-V as their primary weapon of choice. It deals an incredible amount of damage, has little recoil, and moves relatively quickly for a bigger weapon. The TAQ-V has a slower fire rate than the TAQ-56, but that doesn’t matter much when players are hitting consistent shots that deal extra damage.

If players want to use the TAQ-V as their long-range gun in Warzone 2, they’ll want to equip its best set of attachments.

Best TAQ-V loadout in Warzone 2

As of now, there are two meta loadouts for the TAQ-V. One of them uses an optic and the other one does not. It entirely depends on the player’s preference, but the loadout we’ll be using has an optic equipped. We feel this gives players a better chance at longer ranges, but we’ll also offer a sixth attachment that can be used as a replacement for the optic slot.

  • Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
  • Barrel: 18″ Precision-6 Barrel
  • Optic: AIm OP-V4
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum
  • Rear Grip: FSS Combat Grip

A majority of players either run the barrel or the optic. So if you want to use the AIM OP-V4, then take off the 18″ Precision-6 Barrel, and vice versa. Either way, this TAQ-V loadout is lethal at any range and will serve players well on Al Mazrah.
