Since Call of Duty: Warzone was released, the battle rifle class hasn’t seen nearly as much use as it has in Modern Warfare 2. This is primarily because the traditional assault rifles are much stronger on Al Mazrah and on other maps in general. However, after some buffs in earlier seasons, the SO-14 has become one of the more stable weapons in the entirety of Warzone, featuring a devastating loadout to boot.

The SO-14 can either be a semi-auto or fully-auto weapon. It truly depends on how you want to use the SO-14 which will determine what firing mode you ultimately go with. The SO-14 is more reliable as a semi-automatic weapon but can deal some huge damage in full-auto when at close range.

If you want to make the most out of the SO-14 in Warzone, check out my guide for its best loadout below.

Best SO-14 loadout in Warzone

In order for the SO-14 to compete with other rifles in Warzone, we’ll need to significantly buff its damage range, recoil control, and bullet velocity. Luckily, there are several attachments that can accomplish these tasks.

  • Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
  • Barrel: 22″ Boremaster Barrel
  • Optic: AIM OP-V4
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum

This is perhaps one of the more basic loadouts you can equip for the SO-14 in Warzone, but it does wonders for the battle rifle’s stats.

The loadout starts out with the ZLR Talon 5 and 22″ Boremaster Barrel, which increase recoil control, damage range, and bullet velocity. The FTAC Ripper 56 adds more recoil control while the 50 Round Drum improves the SO-14’s magazine size so players can shoot more without having to reload. Although, I only recommend this attachment for players looking to use the SO-14 in full-auto mode. Semi-auto players can use a smaller magazine.

Finally, there’s the AIM OP-V4 optic, which has been a go-to sight for many long-range weapons since the release of Warzone.
