Since Call of Duty: Warzone 2 was released, the battle rifle class hasn’t seen nearly as much use as it has in Modern Warfare 2. This is primarily because the traditional assault rifles are much stronger on Al Mazrah. If players have been using a battle rifle, though, they likely equip the TAQ-V.The TAQ-V acts more like an assault rifle than any other battle rifle, making it fairly popular amongst players. This doesn’t leave much room for other battle rifles, though, such as the SO-14. To be fair, of course, the SO-14 doesn’t have nearly as strong of a loadout in Warzone 2 as other guns from its class. However, it does have the potential to be a DMR-like weapon in Season 2.

The SO-14 can either be a semi-auto or fully-auto weapon. Players have leaned more toward the semi-auto firing mode, as this turns the SO-14 into a long-range threat akin to the DMR from the original Warzone. However, the SO-14 has a low time-to-kill, meaning players will need to hit all of their shots if they want a chance in gunfights. If players truly want to use the SO-14, they will absolutely need the best attachments available.

Best SO-14 loadout in Warzone 2

In order for the SO-14 to compete with other rifles in Warzone 2, we’ll need to significantly buff its damage range, recoil control, and bullet velocity. Luckily, there are several attachments that can accomplish these tasks.

  • Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
  • Barrel: 22″ Boremaster Barrel
  • Optic: AIM OP-V4
  • Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40
  • Ammunition: High Velocity

The best SO-14 loadout starts out with the ZLR Talon 5 and 22″ Boremaster Barrel. These attachments increase recoil control, damage range, and bullet velocity. The Lockgrip Precision-40 adds more recoil control while the High Velocity ammo improves the SO-14’s bullet velocity so players can land their shots quicker. Finally, there’s the AIM OP-V4 optic, which has been a go-to sight for many streamers since the release of Warzone 2.
