The best Crossbow loadout in MW2

The Crossbow can either be one of the most infuriating or enjoyable weapons to use in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, depending on your skill with the weapon. If you can hit consistent headshots with the Crossbow, then you will have a terrific time one-shot-killing opponents all over the map. However, if you tend to miss more shots than you hit, the Crossbow might not last long in your loadout slot. To ensure you have a worthwhile experience with the Crossbow in MW2, you need to use its absolute best loadout.

As always, the Crossbow is more of a gimmick weapon than an actual meta choice. While some Warzone fans will stand by the Crossbow as a meta weapon, MW2 players will find that they need to use the Crossbow in a specific way to even manage a few kills with it. Luckily, there are a few attachments to make the Crossbow even more usable in MW2.

To see the full loadout for the Crossbow in Modern Warfare 2, keep reading below.

Best Crossbow loadout in MW2

  • Arms: SO Momenti
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7mW
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
  • Wire: 28-Strand Cable
  • Stock: Speedtrak Echo

As you might expect, some of the attachments here look nothing like they do for any other gun in multiplayer.

The two normal attachments are the VLK LZR 7mW laser, which boosts aim down sights speed and sprint-to-fire time, and the Cronen Mini Pro, a basic red dot sight. If you want a larger scope for some long-range fun, you can easily swap out the Cronen Mini Pro for a 4x optic. I also recommend the Aim OP-V4 for mid-range engagements.

The rest of the attachments help you boost their damage range and accuracy, both of which are crucial if you want to try and one-shot kill your enemies. However, don’t expect to out-gun many assault rifles or submachine gun players, even with these attachments.

As a final note, you can use the Crossbow in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
