Shotguns were one of the most under-used classes in all of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 prior to Season 2. However, all of that changed when the KV Broadside was introduced with the Season 2 Battle Pass. Now, the shotgun class is dominating the meta after players preferred to use submachine guns or pistols for their close-range needs before Season 2. If players are looking for an alternative to the Broadside, though, they can take a look at the Bryson 890, which has a powerful close-range loadout in Warzone 2.

The Bryson 890 is a semi-automatic shotgun that can pack quite a punch at close range. Beyond close range, the gun is pretty much worthless, as any damage it does will be negligible compared to what an enemy can deal with a stronger weapon. So, if players decide to equip the Bryson 890 on their loadout, they should only pull it out when an enemy is pushing them or if they’re breaking into a building/house/etc. When players do add it to their loadout, they need to ensure they’re using the best set of attachments.

Since we’re looking to make the Bryson 890 viable against strong SMGs, we’ll need to increase the shotgun’s damage range above anything else. Players will also need added mobility and accuracy to ensure they can get off an accurate shot in the first place.

  • Muzzle: Bryson Choke
  • Barrel: 18″ Demo Firewall
  • Stock: Stockless Pistol Grip
  • Laser: 1mW Quick Fire Laser
  • Guard: Demo X50 Tactical Pump

The Bryson Choke and the 18″ Demo Firewall are the perfect attachments to increase the Bryson 890’s damage range without sacrificing much else. Players will also have a tighter pellet spread. Following those attachments, there’s the 1mW Quick Fire Laser for added hip-fire accuracy and mobility and the Stockless Pistol Grip for even more mobility. Finally, the Demo X50 Tactical Pump adds rechambering speed, which basically means improving the fire rate.
