On March 16, Riot released a list of all bug fixes and card reworks coming to Legends of Runeterra. Riot wanted to focus on balancing cards for patch 0.9.2, so Kalista and Hecarim are receiving updates, along with their corresponding follower and spell cards. In addition, 10 elite and follower cards will be adjusted with seven spell cards also receiving tweaks.

Bugs in Legends of Runeterra are going to be fixed as well. Players will no longer get stuck on an art screen when receiving a friend challenge. Plus, reaching the maximum number of decks will not affect actions to edit or save decks. Finally, crash bugs and card font glitches have been resolved.

Kalista’s rework

Kalista was the lowest played champion last patch, so Riot decided to make Kalista synergize with aggressive Ephemeral and Fearsome decks. However, Riot is planning to adjust the Shadow Isles region, so leveling Kalista will be harder to achieve. Here is each card and their changes:

  • Kalista Level 1: Before: Kalista could bond with an ally and grant them 2 additional health. In order to level up, 3 allies must die. Now: Kalista only requires the death of 4 allies without needing to bond. Her health also increased to 3.
  • Kalista Level 2: Before: Kalista would revive the bonded ally. Now: Each round Kalista attacks, she creates an Ephemeral copy of the strongest dead ally. Additionally, she bonds to the revived ally and all the damage she receives is transferred to them.
  • Kalista’s Black Spear (and original): Now costs 3 mana to cast

Hecarim’s adjustments

Hecarim was quite popular last patch, but players would not level him up. In order to entice players to get the full Hecarim experience, while making him blockable, Riot has reduced his health and quest triggers:

  • Hecarim Level 1: Hecarim requires 7 Ephemeral allies to attack now, and health was reduced to 5.
  • Hecarim Level 2: Hecarim now summons 2 Spectral Riders while granting all Ephemeral allies 3 additional damage.
  • Spectral Rider: Damage has been reduced to 2.
  • Hecarim’s Onslaught of Shadows (and original): Mana cost is reduced to 2.
