Immortals Gaming Club has announced the launch of its digital esports camps, powered by esports network Nerd Street Gamers. These multi-day esports camps allow kids the opportunity to learn from professional players while focusing on League of Legends and Overwatch. The camps begin June 30 and will run through July, with separate schedules for both games.

“This is a unique moment in time and we believe the camps will [establish] a format that we plan to replicate for years to come,” says Jon Tuck, Chief Commercial Officer at IGC. As traditional summer camps are put on hold for the summer, IGC saw the chance to create something new. The esports camps will not only provide learning possibilities but also build long-lasting memories for aspiring pro gamers.

Nerd Street Gamers CEO John Fazio shared his thoughts on what the camps have to offer. “We are providing parents and gamers with opportunities to connect with one another, build their skills, and duplicate the experience of traditional summer camps digitally.”

A chance to work with experts

The most convenient part of the camps is the online-factor. All sessions are held by professional instructors, ranging from coaches and players to industry veterans and content creators. Kids will receive lessons on the fundamentals of competitive gaming, map strategy, team dynamics, and communication skills. Additionally, they will have their performance evaluated and receive feedback based on their skills. Overall, this is a chance that not many people have in their lifetime. As esports is rapidly gaining in popularity, it may be a good idea to be one step ahead.

IGC will hold each session through several weeks from June 30 to July 24. Parents can sign their kids up through the official website, where they can see what both the League of Legends and Overwatch camps have to offer along with their schedules.
