FlyQuest is making moves to add some interesting players to their upcoming 2021 roster. According to sources, they have already made a verbal agreement to bring on Brandon Joel “Josedeodo” Villegas and Matthew “Deftly” Chen, and now they are looking to add Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen from Dignitas. Johnsun previously played in the bot lane for Dignitas and TSM Academy, and will now move to another popular NA team.

FlyQuest bringing in Johnsun

Back when Johnsun first onboarded with Dignitas, the team deemed him as “The mechanical God.” Debuting earlier this year on the LCS stage, Johnsun has proven his skills with exceptional performances for both spring and summer splits. In one match against FlyQuest, Johnsun scored 6/1/8 KDA, carrying the team to victory alongside then support Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black. He will now replace FlyQuest’s former AD Carry player Jason “WildTurtle” Tran, who’s been with the team since 2017.

Fresh new faces

Johnsun will now be playing besides FlyQuest’s newest player, former C9 Academy support David “Diamond” Bérubé. He will also be joining other new roster members, including Matthew “Deftly” Chen, Brandon Joel “Josedeodo” Villegas, Cristian “Palafox” Palafox, and Eric “Licorice” Ritchie. This roster has plenty of potential to grow into impressive North American talent, especially as they play alongside experienced top laner Licorice.

Overall, FlyQuest is looking to continue the momentum they had this year during the World Championship. This fresh new roster may be exactly what they need to move forward. Additionally, some of these Academy players such as Diamond and Palafax will finally have a chance to show North America what they’re capable of on the main stage.

FlyQuest has yet to officially announce these changes but is expected to make an official statement as the Free Agency period has just begun. Stick with Daily Esports for more League of Legends news and updates.
