New streaming site Caffeine is making quite the early splash. Today, the platform announced they have signed a slew of professional NBA and NFL athletes as well as some musicians to stream on the site. Along with streaming, some of the personalities will put on a weekly show to further Caffeine’s mission of making streaming the future of television. Caffeine was released online and as an app earlier this year. The site’s first splash signings were Atlanta-based rapper Offset and semi-professional basketball player LaMelo Ball.

Caffeine brings on NFL and NBA stars

While Caffeine already has a star-studded lineup of streamers, today they’re adding to that list. Starting today, NFL wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and NBA players Collin Sexton and Kyle Kuzma will officially be a part of the Caffeine family.

The trio of athletes will be streaming regularly on the platform, though some will be more active than others. The NBA stars, Kyle Kuzma and Collin Sexton, will both be streaming weekly and playing a wide array of games. Call of Duty, Fortnite, Madden, NBA 2k20, and racing games are what you can expect from the two NBA players.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, on the other hand, will play a much more active role in Caffeine’s future. Premiering today, December 13, Smith-Schuster will be launching his new show ‘Catchin’ W’s with JuJu’. Caffeine has signed on for 16 episodes of the series, which will feature a new celebrity guest playing a number of games while interacting with the chat. The show’s first episode premieres tonight at 7 P.M. EST.

Here’s what the NFL star had to say about his deal with Caffeine:

“I’m excited to be on Caffeine and have the fans watch me game, talk some trash, and see me get these W’s against my friends!”

One cool feature about Caffeine’s streaming services is the implementation of no-delay chat. So, the live stream is actually live, and not on any kind of delay. This means the streamers can directly interact with the fans when they’re streaming or during a show.

Offset launches a new show

Also, launching alongside JuJu’s premiere is rapper Offset’s new show, ‘Bet with Set’. The premise of Offset’s show is similar to JuJu’s in that the rapper will face off against other celebrities in an online game. The first episode launched last night, with Offset playing against NFL wide receivers Mike Williams and Dez Bryant.

The found and CEO of Caffeine said this about the company’s new additions:

“We’re beyond excited to welcome JuJu, Collin, Kyle, and Doja Cat and their fans to Caffeine. We’re creating a better way for entertainers, gamers, and athletes to create live content and connect with their communities, and we’re excited to see these creators start contributing our growing community.”
