Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s final substantial patch, version 13.0.1, went live Wednesday evening. Although there may be future updates to address potential bugs, this patch brought the game’s last balance changes.

Pikachu, who has been consistently considered among the best characters in the game, has officially avoided significant nerfs throughout Smash Ultimate’s entire lifespan. Conversely, a few other top-tiers received nerfs in Smash Ultimate version 13.0.1.

Min Min incurred the most impactful nerfs. All of her punches now do less damage to shields, her neutral-air has more landing lag and the Dragon Beam from her forward smash has a shorter duration. Additionally, the Aegis duo received a nerf each, with Pyra’s side special now leaving her more vulnerable and Mythra’s forward smash now dealing less knockback.

Characters will take less hitstun from the multihits of Steve’s up smash, making it harder for Steve to combo with the attack. A few characters also received animation adjustments to match other characters, including Min Min, Pyra, Mythra and Sora. Beyond this, several fighters were buffed in this patch.

Buffs in Smash Ultimate version 13.0.1

Characters running the gamut from high-tier to low-tier received buffs in Smash Ultimate version 13.0.1. Wario, who received nerfs in a previous patch, now deals more percent with both hits of his jab and is less vulnerable after using them. In addition, Peach and Daisy now have an easier time grabbing ledge with their side specials.

Another notable recipient of buffs was Inkling, thought to be the best character in the game by many players early in Ultimate’s lifespan. With this patch, Inkling’s forward tilt, up tilt, forward smash and neutral special all received buffs. Inkling is also less vulnerable when reloading ink.

Another three characters received buffs to four of their moves: Meta Knight, Bowser Jr. and Piranha Plant. Donkey Kong, Link, Ice Climbers, Ike, Mega Man and Ryu received buffs to three moves each. Meanwhile, other buffed characters included Falco, Mewtwo, Rosalina & Luma, Robin, Cloud and Ridley. A full list of patch notes for Smash Ultimate version 13.0.1 is available on the Nintendo Support website.
