ECSTATIC have beaten Extra Salt in the grand final of Pinnacle Fall Series #3 with a 2-0 match win. With the victory, the Danish organization, formerly known as Lyngby Vikings, net themselves $40,000 and a spot at LAN Sweet LAN in 2022.
Extra Salt’s map pick of Ancient went the way of ECSTATIC, 16-13. Vertigo was equally close and went to ECSTATIC, 16-14, in spite of a late rally from the North American team. Jakob “Daffu” Schildt led the way for ECSTATIC with 49 kills across the two maps and a 1.35 HLTV 2.0 rating.
In reaching the grand final, ECSTATIC had to battle their way through the Main Swiss Stage. They lost to Team Unique and forZe and won against 1WIN, Dignitas and Team Finest to advance to the next stage. In the playoffs, ECSTATIC leveled up their play, toppling forZe, MAD Lions, Team BLINK and, finally, Extra Salt.

The win is also a redemption for ECSTATIC, who placed second at Pinnacle Fall Series #2 — as the Lyngby Vikings — narrowly losing out to Entropiq. Prior to this loss, Extra Salt were in top form, having just qualified for the ESL Pro Series Season 15 through the newly-formed Conference Stage.
ECSTATIC join the now defunct FunPlus Phoenix — as well as HAVU Gaming, MOUZ, forZe, OG Esports, Complexity, Virtus.pro and Entropiq — as teams that have locked in LAN Sweet LAN by winning qualifying tournaments. Three Pinnacle Winter Series tournaments and four as-of-yet undecided invited teams will round out the 16-team tournament.
LAN Sweet LAN is an A-Tier event organized by Relog Media. It will take place in 2022 in the Relog Media Studio in Belgrade, Serbia on LAN. The prize pool for the event is $250,000.
