The lower bracket of the VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 2 Masters could facilitate the ultimate redemption arc for both EMEA teams after their losses to NA earlier this week. Day 5 saw Team Liquid take down Vikings with ease and the EU giants have looked much better since falling to Version1 in their opening game.

Speaking with Upcomer, Liquid’s head coach Connor “Sliggy” Blomfield broke down exactly what went wrong with Version1 and what they have been focusing on ever since to give them the dominant 2-0 victory against both Kru and Vikings.

Liquid will face Fnatic in the next round of knockouts, and while they came out on top in the best of five they played in the EMEA Challengers Playoffs, Sliggy acknowledges that Fnatic has improved as a team. However, he also revealed that Fnatic have actually been Liquid’s practice partner throughout their time at Iceland and he’s fully prepared for some of the strategies Fnatic might throw at them.

Lastly, prior to coaching Team Liquid, Sliggy was a prolific CS:GO observer and he weighed in just how good the observing has been at the first-ever international VALORANT LAN.
