The Bren is one of four light machine guns that players have access to in Call of Duty: Vanguard. The LMGs in multiplayer are some of the strongest the mode has to offer, provided players equip the weapons with the right loadouts. One of the choices in Vanguard that need a specific loadout is the Bren. The Bren isn’t a horrible weapon by any means but, in order to match the top weapons in Vanguard, it needs to be kitted out correctly.

Generally speaking, the Bren is the third-best light machine gun in Vanguard. It falls behind the MG42 and DP27 in terms of time-to-kill and overall strength. However, this doesn’t mean that players can’t cut the difference between the weapons and make the Bren just as strong as those LMGs. To do so, players will need the recommended loadout below.

Best Bren loadout in Vanguard

The biggest aspect that’s weighing the Bren down is its mobility. When using it, players will feel like a turtle trying to move around the map. It has a horribly slow aim down sights speed, making close-range encounters nearly impossible to win. This is where the recommended Bren loadout comes into focus.

  • Muzzle: G28 Compensator
  • Barrel: Queen’s 750mm Royal
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Removed Stock
  • Underbarrel: Heavy Foregrip
  • Magazine: .303 British 100 Round Drums
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Leather Grip
  • Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
  • Kit: Defender

The loadout is centered around mobility attachments mixed in with some ways to increase recoil control and bullet velocity. Mobility is boosted by the Removed Stock, Leather Grip and Sleight of Hand. These attachments increase sprint-to-fire, ADS and reload speed.

The other aspects of the loadout boost bullet velocity and recoil control. The Lengthened Ammo Type and Queens’s 750MM Royal barrel take care of the bullet velocity while the G28 Compensator and Heavy Foregrip make the Bren a laser beam.

This loadout for the Bren is meant to be used at medium to long-range in Vanguard but players can get closer thanks to the mobility attachments in place.
