The light machine gun class in Call of Duty: Vanguard currently features three weapons, with the DP27 the most notable of the bunch. While the Bren might stand out because of its vertical magazine, the DP27 carries a pizza-shaped magazine. For this reason alone, players may be interested in equipping and designing a loadout for it in Vanguard.

The DP27 is serviceable at pretty much any range in multiplayer. The weapon’s stats mark it as the most mobile LMG in the game, meaning players don’t have to strap themselves into one playstyle while using it. This also means that players can be freer in their loadout. The recommended loadout for the DP27 in Vanguard reflects this.

Best DP27 loadout in Vanguard

As with any LMG in Call of Duty, the DP27’s biggest weakness is mobility. More specifically, aim down sights speed is abysmal for the DP27. Its movement speed isn’t horrible by any stretch but players will see its mobility stat and want to run and gun with the DP27.

This isn’t the wisest choice, though, as the LMG doesn’t get a ton of help from its attachment selections. Because of this, players are encouraged to play with the DP27 at long-range and use its recommended loadout to great effect.

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: Kovalevskaya 680mm BO2D
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: ZAC S2M
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Handstop
  • Magazine: 7.62x54MMR 105 Round Pans
  • Ammo Type: Hollow Point
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Proficiency: Fleet
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

The overall goal of this loadout is to increase the gun’s recoil control, range and damage. As players will be playing farther back with this DP27, they need all the help they can get with recoil control and sustaining damage at longer ranges. Attachments like Recoil Booster, the Kovalevskaya barrel, M1941 Handstop, Fabric Grip and Hollow Point get this job done.

With Hollow Point, specifically, players can miss some of their shots and still deal some critical hits. Pair these attachments with support picks, like the 105 Round Pans magazine and the Slate Reflector optic, and players have a lethal DP27 loadout in Vanguard.
