Popular Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team Moist Esports have signed Fox main Paris “Light” Ramirez Garcia, formerly of Rogue and Most Valuable Gaming.

Known as one of the best Fox players in the world, Light is joining a team created by streamer Charles “Cr1TiKaL” White Jr. This move follows the team’s reception of Alexis “Goblin” Stennett and Aaron “Aaron” Wilhite, marking the fifth Smash player signed to Moist Esports — including Melee Fox player Kurtis “moky” Pratt.

Light’s path to Moist Esports

Originally, Light started by playing Smash on the Wii U, with tournament finishes going back to 2016. His first tournament win was at Smash on the Hill Arcadian, playing his trademark Fox. Through his time on Wii U and on Smash Ultimate, his skills on Fox have grown to popular status. Within his home state of Connecticut, he is ranked first out of all Wii U and Ultimate players. In July, Light’s Fox play on Ultimate led him to a tournament win in two categories at Push the Limit 12.

Light also is known for his Doubles play. With his teammate Tyler “Marss” Martins, they won the Doubles bracket in the same event that Light won the Singles bracket. The pair’s play in Ultimate has led to many tournament wins as well, including Frostbite 2020. Now, after being organization-less for over a year, Light joins Moist Esports to continue his Ultimate esports career.

The team’s future

It’s clear that Cr1TiKaL is signing a very strong and accomplished Smash team. Along with his new teammates, the addition of Light adds a Fox specialist that can fight with the best.

The duo of Light and Marss has yet to return. But, there might be some new doubles teammates on the Moist Esports roster. Either way, fans can look forward to their next tournament to see what their first matches under the Moist Esports name will provide.
