One of the new aspects of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6 is the ability to craft weapons and other items. Using newfound materials introduced with the season, players can create unique items right from their inventory. One of the most sought-after pieces currently is the Hunter’s Cloak, and here’s how to make it in Fortnite season 6.

Along with the new season and its content, Epic Games has also released the week 1 challenges for Season 6. Within these challenges, there’s a specific task to craft the Hunter’s Cloak, which might seem confusing to some players at first.

However, the process is fairly simple and once players have completed it, they’ll be awarded with a solid amount of XP to kickstart their Battle Pass.

Crafting the Hunter’s Cloak in Fortnite

The first thing players will need to do to craft the cloak, is find a pack of boars or wolves. It’s easier to locate a stray animal, as this makes them easier to take down, but most of the animals do like to travel in packs.

Once either animal is found, players need to eliminate it and loot the body for meat and bones. Boars and wolves are guaranteed to drop these materials, so once they’ve been eliminated, the loot is all yours.

Once this is completed, go into your inventory and select a piece of meat. In order to craft the Hunter’s Cloak, players need just two bones and one piece of meat. With the meat selected, the option to craft the cloak should appear. Simply select the “Craft” option and the cloak is now equipped.

While this completes a week 1 challenge, it also makes it much easier to tame animals. With the cloak equipped in Fortnite season 6, players won’t be detected by animals, as the item “throws animals off your scent.” This makes taming boars and wolves a breeze, which is something you’ll want take advantage of given how little it takes to craft the Hunter’s Cloak.
