The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) will have a new expansion called Shining Fates on Feb. 19, 2021. Today, players found out about two Premium Collections that will come shortly after the new expansion: the Crobat VMAX and Dragapult VMAX collections.
Here’s everything we know about the upcoming Shining Fates Premium Collections.
Shining Fates Premium Collections
There are going to be two Shining Fates Premium Collections. One will feature Crobat VMAX and the other will feature Dragapult VMAX. The collections will include special etched-art promo editions for Crobat V, Crobat VMAX, Dragapult V and Dragapult VMAX. In addition to these, the bundles will also include:
- 1 of 2 oversize cards featuring Shiny Crobat VMAX or Shiny Dragapult VMAX
- 1 of 2 metallic coins featuring Crobat or Dragapult
- 7 Pokémon TCG: Shining Fates booster packs
- A code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online
These collections will be available for purchase online and in stores on March 5, 2021. By this point in time, we should have a good idea about whether Dragapult VMAX or Crobat VMAX is worth the investment — we already know Crobat V from Darkness Ablaze certainly is.

If you play the Pokémon TCG Online, you can still get the full benefits of the collections. You will get copies of either Dragapult V and Dragapult VMAX or Crobat V and Crobat VMAX depending on which collection you choose. The code for the collection will include the promo cards, deck boxes and card sleeves. You will also get individual codes for each booster pack, and everything in the collection will be tradeable online.
If you’re interested in getting into the Pokémon TCG, Premium Collections like these are a great way to get your foot in the door. They offer rare cards for a good value and give you all the tools to start off with a decent deck. Be sure to check them out when they release.
