The open qualifiers for the Valorant First Strike tournament closed last week, and now the real fun begins today. The closed qualifiers start this afternoon, November 4, at 2 PM CT.

The top sixteen contestants from the open qualifiers have been divided up into four groups of four. Group A consists of Cloud9 Blue, XSET, 100 Thieves, and Luminosity. In Group B, we have Gen.G, Equinox Esports, T1, and Complexity. Group C has Envy, Spot Up, Sentinels, and Dignitas. Last but not least, Group D contains Team SoloMid, Built by Gamers, The Slimy Boogermen, and the Renegades.

All of these matches are a best-of-three for the winners. The losers will drop down to the lower brackets (as shown in the schedule above) to try to compete for the Qualified Finals.

According to Battlefy, Nerd Street Gamers will stream all of these matches via its Twitch channel. Most likely, the Valorant Twitch channel will also stream the tournament.

Closed qualifier losers will have one last chance

The top four from the Valorant First Strike closed qualifiers will automatically advance to the First Strike Main Event. The bottom four, however, will have one more chance to qualify for the First Strike Quarterfinals. All four will be automatically entered for the UMG closed qualifier to duke it out with the top four winners of the UMG open qualifier. The UMG open qualifier will begin on November 11, and the closed qualifier will start on November 13, just two days later.

After that, the top 8 teams that remain triumphant from both closed qualifiers will return on December 3 for the Regional Finals. With a Finals prize pool of $100,000, these teams have more than enough reasons to not hold back in this competition. It should be an entertaining time!
