After Riot Games announced the first official tournament for Valorant, called First Strike, it wasn’t long before organizations looked to sign official Valorant rosters. Team Empire has joined in on the fun, assembling its first Valorant roster.

The new Team Empire team has even already started preparing for First Strike for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region. The roster is full of seasoned players from across both Europe and the CIS.

Team Empire roster:

  • Denis “m0z” Kanukov
  • Vadim “Tian” Filkin
  • Artem “DieZzz” Lipatov
  • Semyon “Purp0” Borchev
  • Andrew “BRAVEAFb0Y” Gorchakov
  • Slozhenikin “Ups” Artyom — coach
  • Kravchenko “Krava” Milena — manager

Team Empire is one of Russia’s largest professional gaming organizations and the most well-known. It formed in 2004 with the main headquarters in Moscow, Russia, and with the overall goal of popularizing esports in Russia and across the CIS. The group is mostly known for its prowess in Rainbow Six Siege competition, but it has wings in other esports, including Dota 2StarCraft II, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Call of Duty, and League of Legends. Now the organization has its sights set on conquering the world of Valorant esports. The team will have its first shot with First Strike in December.

The regional qualifiers for First Strike will start in the latter half of October. Players sixteen years of age or over and who have earned at least an Immortal 1 rank are eligible to compete. First Strike will feature multiple regional championships from December 3 to December 6. Participating regions include North America, Europe, CIS, Turkey, Asia, Oceania, Brazil, and the Middle East.

Whenever Riot Games announces additional details about when the qualifiers begin, a streaming schedule, and any other First Strike details, we will have them. And of course, stay with Daily Esports for any and all Valorant news.
