Hearthstone Grandmasters has crowned its regional champions for week 4. The winners are Chung “blitzchung” Ng Wai, Radu “Rdu” Dima and Facundo “Nalguidan” Pruzzo.

The Druid decks played by blitzchung came out on top. Over in Hearthstone Grandmasters Europe and Americas, Rdu and Nalguidan won with the Mage class.

Each of these players received the lion’s share of the weekly prize pool, alongside points toward a chance at an invitation to the Hearthstone World Championship.

Blitzchung succeeds with tokens

The Asia-Pacific region began the day with a matchup between blitzchung and Ishibashi “posesi” Wataru.

While blitzchung played the Druid class, his opponent opted for Mage. When it came down to the tiebreaker, blitzchung earned a place in the finals thanks to a full board of tokens. After casting Arbor Up to buff up his minions, blitzchung went face for lethal.

Next, Liu “Shaxy” Wei-Chieh’s Mage went up against Poramet “Bankyugi” Putchakan’s Priest. The latter player earned the first point, but Shaxy tied the score in the next game thanks to Apexis Blast and a Fireball to the face. Shaxy won another point in the tiebreaker game, earning a score of 2-1.

It was Druid versus Mage in the final matchup for the Asia-Pacific region. Blitzchung won the first game after filling his side of the board with tokens. When his opponent went face with burn instead of clearing the board, blitzchung buffed his own minions using Arbor Up and the Coin into Power of the Wild. These minions went face, which earned blitzchung a point.

Although Shaxy evened the score in the next game, it wasn’t enough as the tiebreaker went to his opponent. Like the first game, blitzchung created a strong board of minions and buffed them for lethal damage.
