During the 12th annual Shorty Awards last night, Luminosity content creator Harley “MrFreshAsian” Campbell was crowned Streamer of the Year. The Shorty Awards celebrate the best the internet has to offer by highlighting innovative content creators. The Streamer of the Year award goes to the broadcaster who has established themselves as an unstoppable force.

MrFreshAsian is an Australian professional gamer whose high tier gameplay has garnered some great attention. He has grown a community of 1.5 million followers since his humble beginnings as a Team Fortress 2 gamer. His Twitch channel has attracted more than 18 million views.

Furthermore, MrFreshAsian isn’t just a casual streamer. In 2018, he joined esports organization Renegades as a professional Fortnite player. As his career has grown, he’s become a staple in Fortnite competitions. In 2019, MrFreshAsian partnered with fellow Aussie Desmond Chaim in Fortnite’s World Cup Celebrity Pro-Am. After nearly two years with Renegades, MrFreshAsian found a new home with Luminosity in March 2020.

MrFreshAsian accepted his award on the Shorty Awards’ live YouTube broadcast, saying, “It’s crazy that it’s been just over a year and a half of streaming, and I’m sitting here right now.” He went on to shout out his fans, moderators, and friends for supporting him through his journey.
