Apex Legends features a wide array of cosmetic items ranging from skins to weapon charms. Most of these cosmetics are unlocked through Apex Packs, which you can buy or earn through playtime. While the current selection of items is nothing to scoff at, some fans have wanted more from Respawn Entertainment.

One of the items on the wish list has been in-game emotes, which were popularized in battle royales by Fortnite. Well, if you’re a fan of emotes, a recent leak regarding emotes in Apex Legends might make you excited for the future.

Apex Legends emotes on the way?

There has been speculation about emotes in Apex Legends for multiple seasons. Leaks from the PC files started to reveal the possibility back in Season 2, but, of course, nothing has come of it. Respawn was most likely testing out the feature and left them in the files to tinker with at a later date.

Well, it appears that the later date is now, as more emotes have arrived in the PC files. The leak today comes from data-miner @iLootGames, who has a sparkling track record when it comes to Apex Legends leaks. Below, you can see some of the emotes he found in the game files.

From the looks of it, the emotes seem complete. They’re fluid and appear to be available on multiple characters. Presumably, Respawn is still messing around with the feature and waiting until the right time to release them. That said, there’s no telling if they ever will arrive since we’ve seen leaks like this before back in Season 2.

If Respawn does choose to release some emotes, though, it’ll be nice to have another cosmetic item to unlock. Hopefully, they won’t cost an arm and leg to earn as we’ve seen with some other items in the past.
