The Hearthstone Masters Tour Orgrimmar broadcasts will kick off Friday, April 30 with players from over 45 countries duking it out. The lion’s share of a $250,000 prize pool is on the line.
Competitors also get a chance to earn points that count towards getting into Hearthstone Grandmasters 2021 Season 2. Players with at least seven wins in the Swiss matchups receive points. Competitors who make into the top eight also win bonus points.
Format and schedule
The tournament will use the Conquest with a ban format. Those who earn at least a score of 7-2 will get an invitation to Masters Tour Dalaran.
Day one of Hearthstone Masters Tour Orgrimmar will include five Swiss rounds. On Saturday, will have four rounds of Swiss followed up by the top 16 players dueling in single-elimination matches.
The final day of Hearthstone Masters Tour Orgrimmar will have the top eight players compete against each other to determine who receives the crown.
Each broadcast will begin at 9 a.m. ET.
How to get YouTube Drops
The tournament will be broadcast live over on YouTube. Interested players who wish to earn some card packs can tune in and get YouTube Drops. Up to two Year of the Phoenix card packs will be available to viewers with linked accounts.
To link accounts, a player must first head into the Settings section of their YouTube account. They should then navigate to the Account Sharing page located under “Connected Apps.” The player must click on the “Connect” button next to “Battle.net” and follow the prompts.
Note that when linking up accounts, the player needs to be logged into the Blizzard account they want to receive YouTube Drops on.
To earn their first pack, players have to watch two hours of content. They need an additional two hours to earn the second one. The time watched will be cumulative throughout the weekend tournament broadcasts.
