If there’s one consistent weapon in the sniper rifle category of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, it’s the LW3 Tundra. Players have always managed to find a way to return to the Tundra despite how many snipers Treyarch has added to multiplayer. This is for a good reason as well, as the Tundra is a great all-around weapon that can decimate the opposition.
The recommended loadout for the Tundra has changed in small ways throughout the seasons. However, the key elements of the loadout have remained the same and Season 3 doesn’t see many changes.
Best LW3 Tundra loadout in Black Ops Cold War
In Black Ops Cold War, the LW3 Tundra doesn’t excel in one specific area. Instead, it’s above average at pretty much everything a sniper is used for. Its quickscoping ability doesn’t match that of the Pelington 703 or Swiss K31 but it can still manage fairly well.
The Tundra comes in handy above other snipers at medium to long-range. It features some of the highest damage in the game, meaning that players can one-shot enemies with an upper-body shot. The other snipers in the class sometimes struggle with one-shotting enemies, often receiving hit markers.
The recommended loadout for the Tundra makes it slightly more proficient in quickscoping, while buffing its already great damage and range.

- Underbarrel: Marshal Foregrip
- Magazine: 7 RND
- Stock: Raider Pad
To help with the Tundra’s quickscoping, the Raider Pad is in place. This stock increases the weapon’s sprint-to-fire time by 30% and truly scopes in quickly on enemies. Next, the Stabilizer .308 deals with idle sway control, and the Marshal Foregrip increases the gun’s movement speed while also assisting with ADS time.
Finally, the 28.2″ Tiger Team barrel is a mainstay on all snipers. Its buffs are simply too great to beat, as it boosts damage, range and bullet velocity. The only dropoff is starting ammunition, which is helped with the 7 RND mag and extra recoil.
