North American esports organization Team SoloMid (TSM) have reportedly signed former Splyce AD carry Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup to its League of Legends roster, according to ESPN. Kobbe will most likely replace current AD carry Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen, whose contract has already expired.

After the recent bad performance and an inability to make the World Championships for two years in a row, TSM looks forward to the 2020 season.

Kobbe joins TSM

The 23-year old bot laner joined Splyce in 2015, with previous roles on Denial Esports, Millenium, Team Dignitas’ European roster, and a short stint on Follow Esports. With an 8th place finish in the 2016 European League of Legends Championship Series (EU LCS), the team was sent to relegation. Fortunately, Splyce achieved a victory over Giants Gaming to keep their spot in the EU LCS.

Since then, Kobbe has had two World Championship appearances. However, Splyce has been met with bottom half bracket placements, until recently with a 4th place finish in the 2019 LEC Spring Split. His addition to the bottom lane is an improvement over the previous duo who have since been reportedly signed by North American esports organization Cloud9.

Still looking for jungler

One remaining role that needs filling is the jungler position, with the coaching staff previously switching players in and out while attempting to find the right fit. Unfortunately, all three players in Jonathan “Grig” Armao, Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham, and Mingyi “Spica” Lu have not found much success or cohesiveness with the rest of the roster.

With the addition of Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup and former Counter Logic Gaming support Vincent “Biofrost” Wang, what other players will be signed by TSM? Can TSM make it Worlds this year and break their curse? Let us know about your opinion, and keep up with Daily Esports for all of your League of Legends coverage.
