North American esports organization Lazarus announced it has parted ways with its male Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster. It had previously picked up its male CS:GO roster after signing org-less North American squad Swole Patrol. The organization hopes to adjust its primary direction to focus on other areas. However, no statements were released about Lazarus’ Russian female CS:GO team, which is still signed.

Lazarus CS:GO
Lazarus Esports signed its former roster in April. This roster consisted of Braxton “swag” Pierce, Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro, Gage “Infinite” Green, Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik, and Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker. Daniel “fRoD” Montaner served as the coach. Michael “dapr” Gulino originally joined as part of the Swole Patrol roster. However, he was released in favor of yay who joined from another org-less team known as Bad News Bears.
The team saw relatively consistent results in events like the Americas Minor Championship and ESL One: New York qualifiers. While the team placed last at ESL Pro League’s Season 9, they managed to escape relegation. Since the roster has qualified for ESL Pro League’s Season 10, the slot will belong to whichever organization the players go to next, where they will have to face powerhouse teams like Cloud9, Team Liquid, MiBR, and NRG Esports.
Swole Patrol
The players will transition back to their previous Swole Patrol name, which was founded by Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir. Freakazoid most recently played for Ghost Gaming, but was released from the roster in June. The players have since tweeted out that they are seeking another organization to represent in ESL’s Pro League.
