Today, 100 Thieves released an announcement welcoming Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider as the League of Legends team’s starting jungler.

Amazing joins 100 Thieves

The North American esports organization had this to say about the addition: “Amazing has played LoL competitively for the past 7 years across NA & EU, with two World Championship appearances. We’re excited to bring his veteran experience, leadership, and voice to the team!”

Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider most recently held the role of Manager on Schalke Evolution. He also played in the Jungler role on FC Schalke 04 before, during the 2018 EU LCS Summer Split and Regional Finals. Prior to that, he worked at Riot Games as an analyst while also competing under Fnatic for the 2017 EU LCS Spring and Summer Splits.

With Amazing’s experience in a management role on Schalke, he should be able to lead the new roster well.

Starting Roster for 2019 Summer Split

Following this announcement, 100 Thieves put out another statement announcing their starting roster for the 2019 LCS Summer Split. While still pending Riot Games’ approval, the new roster consists of existing main lineup players Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho (김찬호), Bae “Bang” Jun-sik (배준식), and Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black.

It also features the addition of former 100T Academy mid-laner Max “Soligo” Soong and, of course, former FC Schalke 04 jungler Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider. Head Coach Neil “pr0lly” Hammad will stay as apart of the team’s Coaching Staff.

During the 2019 LCS Spring Split, 100 Thieves concluded the season in a last-place finish, with 4 wins and 14 losses. For an organization that previously achieved 1st place during the 2018 NA LCS Spring Split and 3rd during the 2018 NA LCS Summer Split, this was shocking to many.

The 2019 LCS Summer Split begins on June 1. How do you think 100 Thieves will perform in this new season? Want to keep up with all of the latest League of Legends news and content? Keep track on our League of Legends page!
