Earlier today, Raven Software surprised the community and released a brand new weapon in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5: the RAAL MG. As a light machine gun, this weapon has been waiting to arrive in Warzone for months. Leakers previously informed the player base that this was a weapon in development for Modern Warfare but it hadn’t been released yet. With Modern Warfare’s life cycle being over for some time, players wondered if it would ever arrive in Warzone. However, the RAAL MG is now available to be unlocked in the battle royale.

As the gun isn’t a part of the Season 5 Battle Pass, players won’t have to rank up any tiers in order to unlock the RAAL. Instead, they must complete a simple challenge to unlock Warzone’s newest weapon.

Unlocking the RAAL MG LMG in Warzone

Players can see the RAAL MG in-game by navigating to the light machine gun section of the loadout menu. Scrolling all the way down will reveal the RAAL MG and its unlock challenge:

  • Get five kills in seven different matches while using LMGs equipped with a Scout Optic

The challenge itself is fairly specific, as players need to use LMGs with the Scout Optic. Five kills in seven different matches is also no small feat and might take some players a couple of hours to complete.

For players that don’t want to unlock the gun, there should be a store bundle featuring the RAAL MG releasing in Warzone within the coming weeks. This bundle will contain a blueprint for the LMG and other cosmetics. Of course, the bundle will cost some COD Points, so this is a costly route compared to completing the challenge.

Regardless, players can start ranking up the RAAL MG in Season 5. This is likely the last Modern Warfare weapon to release in Warzone, as Call of Duty: Vanguard approaches.
