After months of speculation, leaks and build-up, Call of Duty: Vanguard has been revealed. The game’s title has never truly been recognized by Activision until now, despite multiple leaks coming out in the past week. Along with the name reveal, the official Call of Duty Twitter released a brief cinematic teaser trailer and a reveal event in Warzone on Thursday.
Like last year with Black Ops Cold War, the new Call of Duty title will receive a special event inside of Warzone. Taking place in Verdansk, players can partake in the event to likely reveal the official trailer and other elements for Vanguard.

The trailer isn’t anything new for players who have been keeping an eye on social media. Over the last week, Call of Duty has sent various content creators around the world short segments of the trailer. When pieced together, the full official teaser trailer comes into view.
As a whole, the teaser trailer gives the community a brief overview of what to expect from the setting of Vanguard. Set in World War II, the game reportedly takes place after Sledgehammer Games’ 2017 title, Call of Duty: WWII. Leaks surrounding the setting and story of Vanguard are murky but more details should arise when the reveal event occurs in Warzone.
The Warzone event is set to take place on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. ET. It’s unclear how Activision plans to launch the event but its likely players will load into a specific mode when the time comes. This mode will allow players to take part in the event and at the end of it all, presumably reveal the official trailer for Vanguard.
This trailer, unlike the teaser put out today, will feature gunplay, characters and go into deeper detail about the story. This trailer will likely only showcase Campaign elements, with multiplayer and zombies coming at a later date.
Fans of Call of Duty will have their plates full on Thursday. The reveal event for Vanguard is set to take place just hours before the Call of Duty League Championship begins in Los Angeles.
